It may not be in his typical format, but Santa Claus is still coming to West Lincoln. On Dec. 11, 2021 from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., West Lincoln residents can experience the Santa Claus parade in a drive-thru format called "A Country Christmas Celebration."The event will be hosted at West Niagara Agricultural Society Centre & Fairgrounds, at 7402 Mud St. W. Grassie, where many of the displays will be.
Even cloudy skies and the drizzle of rain couldn't stop the residents of West Niagara from flocking to the fairgrounds this past Sunday afternoon for the final day of the West Niagara Fall Fair, which made its return this month after the pandemic. The weekend of Friday, Sept. 9 to Sunday, Sept. 11 saw hundreds attend the West Niagara Agricultural Centre & Fairgrounds for midway rides, carnival games, pony rides, a diversity of delicious food and a series of thrilling demolition derby shows.
The showmen escort their calves in to the show ring, to be judged by Mr. Scott Walker of Guelph, Ont. Walker was born not far from the fair in Grassie.
Mike Blonski, President, John Deere Canada – ULC presents Albert Witteveen, General Manager of West Niagara Agricultural Centre with a $10,000 cheque toward the project inside the Richardson Agricultural Hall at the grounds.
